XIaomi Mi 5 Will Be Available For Purchase A Week After Its Announcement In February - Xiaomi Mi 5 is the next big thing for Xiaomi and fans across the globe are waiting impatiently for this device to officially launch. From the past couple of months numerous rumors has surfaced which hinted at the specs of the phone that we are anxiously waiting for. But for the first time, it has been confirmed that Mi 5 will be launched after the Spring Festival in February and you can purchase it one week after the official announcement. Xiaomi co-founder Liwan Jiang confirmed this yesterday evening.


As for Mi 5 we already a know a lot about the smartphone from the leaks which have surfaced on the internet. Mi 5 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080P display with 2.5D curved glass. It has already been confirmed that Mi 5 will be packing the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood, possibly with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

We can expect 16MP rear camera with 8MP front-facing camera and the smartphone will run MIUI7 on Android Marshmallow out of the box. Some new features that Mi 5 is rumored to be packing are Hi-Fi Audio, LDAC and digital noise cancellation.

Apart from this, Mi 5 is reported to come with support for USB Type-C interface, Fingerprint recognition, NFC connectivity as well as 3D Touch technology. Xiaomi Mi 5 would be available in two color tones Black and White and not to forget the metallic design we are waiting to lay our hands on.
